About Kayla

K Headshot Classic_edited.jpg

Kayla Temshiv is a gender-queer actor and writer based out of Dallas, Texas. A graduate of University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), Kayla has found their comfort zone in bringing to life angsty teenagers, aliens with silly little voices, and lovesick nerds (which aren’t too much of a stretch). They're a versatile actor passionate about voice over, theatre, writing, TV shows and anything involving zombies.

Kayla just made their anime dubbing debut in "Shangri La Frontier", as a member of the Library Guild! Currently, They are working on the TTRPG Actual Play podcast "Magic Isn't Real", where they play a Parker Henley, a 14 year old druid that's not at all based on their actual youth experience. You should totally check it out on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or anywhere else you listen to podcasts. It's pretty cool. Just saying.

If you're a fan of podcasts, you may have heard them on "Thirteen", "SCP Archives", "Mayfair Watchers Society", "Hemophobia", or "The Dead", Their one-act play "Waylen" has been published by Samuel French and performed by community theatres and high schools across the country. Their radio play "To Those of You Listening Back Home" was produced and aired by WVXU. When not acting or writing, they're probably studying a new language, binge-watching an entire anime series, or giving their pet hedgehog forehead kisses.
